I'm a magic-build (only have the dodge improvement not in sign tree)
I just got the new sign, but 4 sets of mobs later, my adrenaline is like 1/10th full.

Mutagens are your best bet. Some armor and weapons give you a bonus, but they aren't the best. --- Call me topic killer! For whenever I post, a thread is doomed to get no replies!

Read the description of your skills. Put another point in "sense of magic" to allow you to generate +50% adrenaline through your signs. Your final skill in the tree with 2 points invested will give you a further +85% generated adrenaline and that will be where the fun begins for you.

A cheap way is put points into that skills that makes Quen reflect damage to multiple enemies. Adrenaline bar will be full almost instantly if you get hit a couple of times in a group of mobs.

Put points fully in the last two skills. It doesn't rocket the adrenaline up, but it helps.
You have NO idea how strong that Sign is though, especially when I fought the Harpy Queen and her brood...on Dark Mode... --- "We are all legends...our only choice is how to end the tale."
