I find it to be just as responsive and fluid as Dark Souls and Amulur. In fact, I think it has more depth due to the different tools at your disposal. All three games ruined the Dragon's Dogma demo for me though. The combat in that demo ended up feeling so sluggish.
BlackFeathers posted... Not smooth as dark souls or kingdoms of Amalur.
I'm still giving it a chance tho! The combat is just sluggish --- POKEMON BLACK FC - 0261 5578 5463 - Seraph Want to join a pokemon community? - http://advanceleague.webs.com/Chat.htm
It was way more smooth and accurate on PC. I've noticed hiccups here and there with this version. Hiccups that have lead to my death a time or two. My time with the PC version was definitely more enjoyable, combat wise.
This is my opinion of the combat copy/pasted from another thread:
The combat in this game isn't that great tbh. You will spend most of your time rolling and retreating, or in a menu selecting a new spell/sign rather than fighting (on normal+). When you actually do attack the lock-on is pointless most of the time and the auto-targeting isn't the greatest. There is also only one hot-key for spells/signs so when you want to change you have to hold LB (time doesn't stop) and select the new sign you want to use.
This game is great in some areas but definitely not in the combat category. Anyone who says otherwise is just blinded by how amazing everything else in this game is. --- don't blame the game the game can't corrupt it's on save
