No. Modern conveniences like these in games are a good thing. Same for fast travel. I will utilize options that are there for my convenience rather than having a misplaced nostalgia for the inconveniences of "old school" games. --- 3DS FC: 4639-9048-2382, Wii FC: 4558-6862-5396-5206, PSN: MidgardDragon DD Pawn: http://game.capcom.co.jp/DD/en/pawn_detail/?pf=PS3&gid=MidgardDragon
I actually keep guides on in games so that I don't accidentally go to my objective lol I for some reason have a very good sense of direction in games and it's like a blessing and a curse xD --- --- My 3DS FC is 2277 - 8061 - 3461. I'll add anyone so please feel free to let me know if you want to be added. :)
Exploration and discovery are the key, although fools who buy guides don't realise this. lol --- Playing: Far Cry 3, PC Minecraft, Skyrim , F1 2012 Waiting for: ELITE:Dangerous, GTA V, Pikmin 3, Dragon Age 3
Turning off the guide star means spending a little more time finding objective. But it's preference.
Turning it off means spending a lot more time finding the objectives lol. To each their own though ;) --- Alice returns in 2011, I'll be ready... http://www.ea.com/alice Inception ending spoiler: http://twitpic.com/26k9ub
I'm keeping it on, but not so I know where to go. I just want to know where to avoid until I explore the rest of the area, because I hate when a game progresses and blocks access to treasures or other missable things.
