That makes me wonder.. kids have a lot of patience huh? Back then I played a lot of japanese rpgs, just guesing the story, trying every new skill and item to figure out what they do, talking with every NPC hoping that's what you gotta do and.. loving everything about it!
Nowadayas I can count on one hand the games I really want to finish
FIrst ever was Pool of Radiance for commodore 64. But I didn't own a c64, so I had to go to my friend's house to play it. My first RPG that I owned was Final Fantasy for NES. Most amazing game ever (for it's time). Still remember how hard it was to get gold, and how expensive everything was. Potions were 60 gold and only healed 30 hp... how messed up is that? try going through Marsh caves for the first time with limited potions....
