Pretty much my standard question for every JRPG I'm interested in. Is it grindy like Disgaea where the entire point is to grind or more like Lost Odyssey where the point is to explore and experience the story, but you'll need to grind a bit to get past some bosses? I'm not even gonna pointlessly hope that you don't need to grind at all.
TheTygerfire is the love of my life.
I believe in the Straight Edge Savior and the Mizziah I love DLC :)

Not even close to Disgaea.

I mean, to get the platinum in Disgaea 4, it was basically a 200 hours grind.

No where near disgaea level of grinding required. Most of the game will be easily done by just going through the story and completing side quests, gaining levels as you go. There's also an easy mode if you really don't want to worry about it. I occasionally stop to explore though and pickup levels or farm for drops/familiars, but it's never really felt like much of a chore yet.

To be fair you don't have to grind to beat Disgaea.

To get trophies and do post game... Well.... Uh yeah, you know.

From what I have played it doesn't seem like much of one. You can do the sidequests to get extra levels instead of grinding.

people have said on here to avoid super grinding actually....cause if you get super strong the monsters run away from you making them harder to capture.

I'd say it is about similar to Lost Odyssey though slightly more difficult. Most bosses are right after a save point so you can go grind and come back to fight. Always create a save before entering a new area though because you never know when you will find a boss that you weren't expecting.
Looking Forward to: Final Fantasy VS XIII
