Do all of them represent an actual hidden item? I know the slightly bigger ones are hidden locations. But are all of the smaller sized ones items? Or do some of them mark the sparkly respawning areas that you can loot?

Balls. I skipped a bunch of items then, whenever there was a one of those looting (foraging?) points in the same general area. It's gonna be murder now to find them too, since i don't remember which items i found. I won't know if i'm just not looking in the right places for the item or if i already found it.

lol Exactly why I left them be until I got my flight option and I can hit them all at once, since the symbols don't disappear from the map once they're found, which is annoying.
