The Real Use for the 'Jumping Jack' merit

#1zod799Posted 1/31/2013 1:55:58 PM
I figured out that the real use for this seemingly useless merit, is so that you can jump in battle.

Pressing Circle in battle will allow you or any of your familars to jump durring battle... so now you dont have to wait so long to grab the golden gliph floating painfully slow down to the ground... you can jump to grab it.

Other than that... yup useless merit... unless of course you like jumping.

Hmmm yesterday someone posted that you can also jump over certain attacks? I haven't really tried it, but I doubt it.

You can jump in battle with that upgrade and it can avoid attacks as well, pretty useful.

It also lets you move faster when you're indoors and can only walk. I guess that's something, right?

And it also seems to let you move slightly faster on the world map, giving you a better chance at catching familiars that are running away from you. I'm not sure this is actually the case though.

I've been able to outrun familiars thanks to jumping that I normally wouldn't have been able to, so it definitely makes a difference.

I'll never understand the need to j ump constantly in a video game that isn't a Platformer. It looks ridiculous.
