Should I wait for metamorphing?

I was wondering if there are any benefits to waiting to metamorphing my familiars at a later time than when it first comes available. The only one I know if is that they could miss out on some tricks, but other than that I don't know.

Metamorph them after they get all the skills, or all the skills you care about them having.

i have been wondering same thing. So far i've been waiting till they maxed out their levels, but i'd like to evolve them sooner. Guess i'll go ahead and do it after they learn everything since it doesn't seem to be much benefit letting them level up anymore than that.

Make sure you don't level them all up at the same time, because they get really weak for a while after and if you are later in the game it can get annoying.

i got 4 rabots to see how much stat increase they get if they evolve early or late. the early evolves have like 10 points more in their stats then wild jack rabots. and late evolves have 10 points more then their early evolve counterparts and that's still when they are low level.

i also noticed that treats doesn't speed up their development so you can wait until late in the game to worry about that and that each of the 4 rabots developed at a different speed, so its a good idea to train multiple familiars and pick the best one if that is important to you

You get higher overall stats if you level them up to the max before changing. It can make a very noticeable difference so if you plan on using a familiar in your final party your better off just doing it right the first time. Also 99 isn't the max for the first level cap it's usually around 25 and the second form cap is usually around 50 so it's not too difficult to max them before changing.
