Wait, you guys haven't thought of forcing gold glims to steal with Swaine?

I thought that was just plain common sense.

how do you keep the AI from grabbing the glim in under 2 seconds when it appears? lol

Push square.

i assume you mean to keep them in all-out defense at all times? well that would be great if they did not cast spells and sing songs in addition to defending. im not even sure if they will go into defend mode after casting ward or singing refrain until next "all-out defense" is issued.

That is pretty brilliant in it's simplicity

It is stated on the guide to put everyone's tactic to "Dont do anything". Defending is for a bigger chance to drop glims and taking less damage I guess.

How this was stickied, yet the topic regarding Top 10 Familiars in each Stat and how they should be used hasn't, is beyond me.

This should be, like you just said, common sense for Christ's sake.

What does the scroll of truth do?

For me it was faster to just use Mugshot than to defend a gazillion times and still not get a gold glim. And there's even a decent chance to steal it. I think I got 4 Scrolls in 7 steals.

Seriously this. The strategy is god-awful. It's a 20% steal chance, whereas the non-rare item is 30% steal chance, so your odds are pretty good for the scroll. In the time it takes to get lucky with a few golden glims I will have fought 20 battles and stolen more scrolls. Especially with how easy it is to get the mobs to respawn.

For Kaleidostones it's slightly more viable but they are still not that hard to get since they are drop and steal.

BTW: you can request unsticky. I did.

My problem isn't the drop rates, it is the spawn rates of all the gold creatures. If they can't spawn I can't steal.
