Hi guys just wondering if there are any over 30's playing this game? Im 36 and everything about it piques my interest apart from the child like theme of it....is it really as 'kiddy' as it looks? Im a long time rpg fan but some of the more cutesy games (eternal sonata was one example) kind of put me off a little. Any opinions related to this?

hmm, not sure what to tell you man. i'm 27 and love this game. but i also didn't find eternal sonata off putting. however, to be fair, i actually never played it for very long. my brother who's only a year younger than me did finish it all the way through though.

I'm 40 and I've got about 100 hours into it. I thought it looked too kiddie too. It's kind of fun for all ages. I think of it like "Shrek." I could watch "Shrek" with a 10 year old, and we'd both really enjoy it. That's how Ni no Kuni is.

Thats cool man...there is so much hype around this game and everyone seems to be really enjoying it, just wondered what the older crowd thought. Its more to do with the theme I guess, a mature theme can carry a game like this and I guess eternal sonata didnt have that for me.

I'm 31 and I'm loving this game. I have no problem playing "cutie-childish" games. As a matter of fact I often avoid games with lots of violence, blood and gore. There you go.

It's much like a Dragon Quest game or Studio Ghibli movie in age-content. So, if you enjoy either of those, you will likely enjoy this.
