Really?! REALLY?! (Ending spoilers) Fair warning

Really? That's the ending?!

[spoilers]
An Oh i'm sorry I destroyed countless nations and people, i'll make everything ok by planting flowers!!!

Then flying home and seeing friends as he passes by. Thats it.

No mom is saved, no loud cheering from the cities. No mom being saved (which I'm glad she wasn't)

Please tell me there is some alternate ending by doing all the errands or some junk because as is, this ending is worse than Mass Effect 3.

Definitely not worse than ME3, because they didn't raise incredibly high expectations over the course of 3 games and 7 years :'(

The reason the ending is really stupid is because it wasn't even in the original game apparently. The DS game ended when you killed Shadar. This ending was basically made up from nothing and thrown into the game for no real reason other than to extend the game.

That would make sense, Post Shadar had a bit of closure to it, after that, the whole last part of the game seemed Rushed.

His mother was dead, Shadar told him that much. It would of been stupid if she came back, although to be honest I was expecting an epilogue where Oliver might of stood at her grave and you had the choice of using ashes of ressurection.

Would of been pretty sweet, kind of like a good Or bad ending, the bad ending if you revive her and maybe Oliver dies Or something (Or becomes heartbroken).

Anyway, the ending was simplistic, but not bad. How'd you expect it to end? With everyone parading and doing backflips for the hero and him going back to his old world with his mom and everything being A-OK and perfect?

Lol. The DS and PS3 games were developed at the same time, the DS isn't the "original" version so much as a parallel version. You could say they're soul mates.

Yeah this basically.

I like the extra content well enough but the story of it feels incredibly rushed. It has an excuse, I guess, but it's still weak.

Ollie standing up to the Council was pretty sick though. CMoA right there. Really the ending is pretty cool until Cassiopeia is revived and everything gets hasty and cheesy.

Something more than a 45 second cutscene would have been nice. Hell I used to hate games that had like a 10-30 minute ending. But I find myself welcoming that.

Some of the cutscenes in the game were decent length, but I feel like after beating the game, I just get the middle finger salute and a "congratulations you beat the game after 45 hours of playing, now waste more of your time doing mindless errands and fighting optional stuff post game!"
