Are the Idlers and the Tin-man Familiars you get there worth the chips you spend? I'm a bit puzzled seeing how most of these ham-fisted casino sections in RPGs have tempting awesome prizes you can't get anywhere else.

I got it because I can. That's all. One game of Platoon is enough to get me two golden tin-man and two idlers, so I got them for the sake for adding to my tamed familiar count.

So these Golden ones can go 99 in all tiers or are they just shiny with some better stats?

I'm up to 5.8 million chips. One day I'll get max. I play when I'm bored. Though I had exceptionally bad luck last night. It took me about 8 tries to win the max amount.

Nope, for whatever reason they are just shiny with slightly better stats. And they are automatic double-star.
