What level/place in the game are you when you start to look for end game familia

rs and the best places to grind?

I just recieved the travel spell :)

There are loads of Toko and Dino topics but i haven found out when and where i can grind them

I had a lot of trouble with that **SPOILERS MAYBE**






Tank right before you meet the prince and that place had no save in front of it xD
So i was "forced" to lose some money, since it had been a long time since i had saved xD

Is there any good places to grind for experience and better familiars at this point? =) Thanks in advance ;)

Good teams are also appreciated :)

Grind tokos in ivory castle right in the C-shaped room before the boss, they pop-up there and give over 20k exp, one astra/evenstar should take it out in one hit

Imo, most of the best familiars can be found in the early game. I'm very happy with my team in the post game and I got most of them from the first few hours of the game.

Purrloiner -> Puss in Boats
Naja -> Mahanaja
Danglerfish ->Manglerfish
Bubbud -> Lotus Bubbud
Bonehead -> Bone Baron
Monolith -> Paleolith

All pre-ship


Lumberwood -> Wildwood, post ship

Dinocerous -> Catastroceros, post flight

Girlfiend -> Phantasma, during the Hamlin story arc



The problem is, most of the creatures you face at the point you are in the game will be 2nd and 3rd forms, which will be weaker than raising them yourself from the 1st form. Honestly, the only early familiar I traded for a late game one was Snapdragon for Puss in Boats since my Mahanaja outclassed him by that point and I wanted a magic user to round out Oliver.

I personally would recommend farming tokotoko below Perdida for xp since his spawn rate is higher and you're not stuck towards the back of a dungeon like with Tokotocold.


Purrloiner and Monolith are near Castaway cove. Bubbud, Danglerfish, and Naja are in Ding Dong Well. Bonehead is running around the desert. Lumberwood in hiding in the trees of the first island south of Hamelin's beach. Dinocerous is on the west cliffs separating the desert from Castaway Cove. Girlfeind is in the caves of Tombstone Trail. Snapdragon is given to you in ticket form the first time you access the familiar retreat in post game.

Do be mindful of preferred familiars as it gives a boost to stats.

Oliver; Purrloiner/Snapdragon, Naja, Dinocerous
Esther: Danglerfish, Bubbud, Lumberwood
Swaine: Monolith, Girlfeind, Bonehead


As I said, this is only my personal all star team, which has worked like a charm for the entire game. The super duper bonus boss in the post game went down in just a few minutes ;)

Bubbud is in the "Ding Dong Well". Took 20 minutes to catch one because the Danglerfish spawned more often >.<
