Emancipation Desperation

I'm six hours in. Just fought Hickory Dickory. Am I ever going to be cut loose?

I love this game so far, but it sure is holding my hand a lot. Reminds me of my experience with Zelda Skyward Sword.

Toggle the option to turn the hints off if you want a harder time.

Sooomewhat. Complaints about too much "hand holding" are pretty common. It won't be an all out tutorial anymore like the first two fights, mostly just Drippy coming in once per boss to be like "Eh, mun, there's useful, I think that's the rotter's weakness, Ollie!"

Cool. I guess I have Xenoblade Chronicles to jump into if I ever want some sandbox no-sensei action.

Still, I love this game. Love. With hearts and everything. I'm a fan of whimsy and great art design. The soundtrack, design and overall whimsical mood of this game hit me right in the Ghiblis.

The worst is Drippy giving away every puzzle solution in the game... you will tire of his dialogue when doing the broken heart errands. I wish there was a mute drippy mode.

There is no way to turn off hints only to turn off the guiding star
