The game has hundreds of traditional rpg elements many of which you pioneered decades ago when Sakaguchi was still a part of the team. No need for re-inventing yourself, or coming up with fancy new terms for a new battle system.

And most of all, it's selling out everywhere in all territories, as a platform exclusive!

And Yoichi Wada continues to figure out what went wrong this generation.

No offense but I don't think Ni no Kuni is superior to FF or Square Enix RPGs in general. and I'm not even a fanboy. XIII-2 is way better than Ni no Kuni in my opinion

also yes it's nice to see games go back to their roots, but don't pretend this game sold for any reason other than Ghibli designs.

people prefer new and innovative battle systems over stagnant ones.

This game may be better than XIII, but it won't sell more, and if it can't, then Square is not interested in it, because for these companies making money is the most important thing.

Square doesn't listen to their fanbase, and they probably never will.

At least Lightning returns.

No, they aren't watching it. They're busying churning out FF13-3, which is CLEARLY what the world needs more of.

Is this some kind of sick joke?

XIII-2 wasn't that great. I felt it was a cop out.
