I'm trying to get back to playing some video games because it's been a while. I just beat Metal Gear Rising and now I want a new game that hopefully I'll enjoy. Yes, I realize the two have nothing in common lol.

But anyway, I've never played a JRPG game before so I'm not really sure what to expect. The closest I've ever played to one was Pokemon. I've never played Final Fantasy or anything like that so I'm not sure what to expect with this game. The reason I'm so interested in this game is because I've heard nothing but greats things about it and it seems to be a great a game.

So my question is, do you think I will like this game? And should I buy it?

That's a tough question, especially because it would be your first JRPG. I guess it depends a lot on what you want in a game. Like, is the story important to you, or do you just want fun gameplay and don't care about story at all? Do you like exploration? Maybe you could name some other games you like?

I like pretty much anything as long as it's a good game and fun to play. I like free roam games a lot and a good story is always a plus as well (Even though it's not the most important thing to me). As long as it's fun, I'll be happy with it.

Could you break down some of the things you do in this game just so I could get some sort of idea. Do you catch minions in the same way that you catch Pokemon? Do you level them up and stuff like that? I've been googling what to expect but I haven't really gotten any good answers. I'd appreciate it!

It's a fantastic cartoonish story. You are a dude who basically has to save the world from the bad peps. How? With the help of familiars. Little creatures that you can tame and that will help you throughout your game. You can tame most creatues except bosses and "semibosses". You can equip items to both your characters and your familiars. These little guys level up, evolve and can be fed with chocolate, flans etc. to increase their stats. You really rely on them so having good ones is important.
The game has what is called in an RPG an "open world" where you roam and can enter cities/dungeons etc. The graphics are amazing and it's quite charming overall. However, some people say they are turned off because the game is too childish. I find it an excellent game nonetheless.

I don't think the childish factor will be a problem for me. The only reason I'm hesitant to buy this is because I've never played a game like this before so I'm not sure exactly what to expect. I've watched a few videos and even though it does seem a tad bit childish, that won't keep me from buying the game as long as it's fun. Thanks for the info btw man!
