Has anyone made a true lvl 99 gold familiar???

What I mean by true is taken each form to 99 before metamorphosis? I know a reg and gold familiar share the same stats for a while but what about after the cap? Just figured it would increase the end result stats. I got a gold hurly from the guide so that's who I'm working on since as far as I know all other unlockable golds are all post game.

I would like to know this as well. My official Ni No Kuni guide gives detailed information about every single non-gold familiar, stats, skills, level cap for each evolution, etc. but the gold familiars seem to be an unknown area.

from what I read here, apparently they made the level cap no longer different from the non gold form in the localized release

It can, but don't expect much. I was fortunate enough to catch a Gold Inphant, and max-level raised it each path through to being a Triumphant. I checked its stats against the max stats in the guides, and it's pretty back and forth.. some are higher, some are lower. The net gain was only 10 points over the max added stats of a regular Triumphant.

So, it's something, but not worth going nuts over. Always a chance you get a lower stat on the one you need or get a boost for the wrong stat too.
