In Canada bestbuy got on sale for 19.99$ at it pm at futureshop for 16.99$(i think guys there don't now how to count 10% but anyway...). Some got it at HMV for under 20$ on clearance sell ( my HMV was around 30$ a copy). Hope the game good but was worth it to see guys faces when they had to lower it from 49.99$ they where not happy...They got it on with each other and din't not like it when ask them for the pm,there was around 10 consumers around them lol and they quickly move my to a cashier ....
I don't know about their practices in Canada (if they're any different), but they've gotten terribly stingy with their so-called "price match guarantee" in the States. I haven't bought anything at Best Buy for almost three years, because it went from "price match by showing a competitor's advertisement", to "price matching local competitors only", to "price matching only if a local competitor currently has the item in stock". I don't know about you, but if I know it's cheaper at another store than Best Buy, I'm going to that store; I'm not making a trip to Best Buy and going through the hassle of having them charge me the exact same price as the other guys. The last time I successfully got anything price-matched there, it was a DVD that was $3 cheaper on a web site (which they didn't have to honor) than in BB, and I wasted at least 15 minutes standing and waiting only for them to find any and every reason to decline my request. First they couldn't price-match because it was a web site, then they were willing to price-match but only if shipping charges were taken into account (at which point it actually cost $1 more than in BB); really, I would have been satisfied if they'd just told me "no" after a couple minutes and sent me on my way, instead of giving me the run-around for as long as they did. I ended up taking it to another store, who price-matched it with no questions asked. And BB wonders why they're falling so far behind their online competitors. Their once-consumer-friendly practices/policies have become less consumer-friendly, more BB-friendly over time. It started as an actual selling point, but gradually became nothing more than some flashy words they can print on an advertising flier. Eh, sorry for getting off-topic. You clearly didn't have an issue like that (and that's cool that you got such a good price). Any time Best Buy's price-matching policy comes up, though, I tend to get a little fired up ;-) --- Now playing: Resistance 3, Dead Island Now anticipating: MLB 12: The Show, GTA V, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
