As said above, it's an oversight, much like how Boed Fortress remains standing even though Oz burnt it down in Law path.
These kind of these are more fun for me to catch than annoying.
Prancet supposed took Catiua and his wife to Goylat after she was born and Denam was born after (and I guess his wife died?).
They don't say this at all. Denam lived in Heim for 4-5 years officially. Source being TO fanbook interview with Matsuno.
Q: How would it be if there was a cut scene for when Vyce first meets Catiua and Denam?
A: Prancet moved to Golyat when Denam and Vyce were about 5 years old. It was the family of a priest from the big metropolis coming to the remote countryside: that was enough to cause a commotion in town, and many went to the church to meet them.
On the latter note, how many of your friends do you specifically remember playing with from when you were 4? I remember one that I was very close to. I chalk it up to Catiua not being very fond of Olivya, while Denam was closer.
Denam not remembering is one thing, but Cistina and Cerya don't even hint anything before Olivya shows up. Cerya saved Olivya from drowning so she must know who Denam is (even further evidenced by the fact that she says to him "They took your father" or something to that effect) and Prancet clearly remembers her. Denam also remembers the scar Olivya got from the incident but not her. Catiua is a little older so unless she has Tifa Lockhart syndrome, I don't know why no one spoke up sooner.
I wish they'd give that kind of info in-game though. The point of having the Warren Report is to give more depth and background but important stuff like this is overlooked or just forgotten (I have a suspicion that they were overlooked completely until fans spoke up about it and Matsuno had to explain it).
