Talk about a knee jerk nerf. So what, they're going to nerf him and not focus on characters who need severe help like Paul Phoenix? A few whiners can't handle a little dive kick pressure so they nerf Rufus's most important move?
Being able to cross up easily was admittedly unfair but nerfing the frame data and hurt box is just ridiculous. The move was mostly fine as is and now they're going to wreck it. From +5 on block to -4? Seriously? Hopefully Capcom smartens up and doesn't go ahead with some of these nerfs because nerfing a character within 2 months of a game's release is ludicrous.
Capcom almost made the same mistake back when they were deciding how to nerf Rufus for SSF4. They were smarter back then and knew that nerfing the dive kick is about the dumbest thing they could do for a character who centers around them. Yeah, I prefer capcom buffing weaker characters rather than nerfing solid characters. Better to have a bunch of solid characters than watered down ones. Rufus is still a solid character with this nerf. It's not like they shot him down to Paul or Balrog levels.
