So did I take the long way to GNR?

Sagemaestro Posted 10/31/2008 7:38:38 PM	I kind of... Went through a whole bunch of subway systems, did a ton of quests, saved a lot of people, and finally got to the GNR tower. This was a good 8 hours ago. ... Did I just have to head a short walk from the Super Mart?

That's the only way to actually get to the station, but there are several ways to get to that point. I believe the most direct way is to take either Farragut West or Chevy Chase. Sagemaestro Posted 10/31/2008 7:43:55 PM	Well, I killed a bunch of fire ants, found two brotherhood guys, killed a bunch of super mutants, saved some initiate, slew a few ghouls in some chinese manufacturing plant, busted up some crab people, and finally came out into George town.

And I had no idea what I was doing; the part of the main quest I was on was still talk to Moriarty, and I was just wandering, went through Farragut West, came out in Chevy Chase, and ran into the brotherhood peeps. Had no idea it was part of the main quest until my quest log updated with "Get the fat and kill the super mutant." Is that normal? How much did I miss?

Normally, you would just talk to Moriarty and he'd tell you to go to GNR. --- ¯\(O_o)/¯
