And just one quick question today: Your IQ Is Low asks, "In addition to your work on GameFAQs, have you ever helped out around GameSpot?" Actually, yes. Day-to-day, I'm responsible for adding in quite a few games to the shared database, so those show up both on GameFAQs and GameSpot. In many other situations, I've jumped in primarily on the tech side as a problem-finder; looking for SQL queries that are killing the database, hunting down bad code, and so on, especially when it's impacting GF in some way, since we share resources on the back end. Oh, today's Fix? Mod apps. Not really publicizing it since there's no end-date now, but still dreading the initial deluge of random apps from people who steadfastly refuse to read the requirements... --- Once upon a time everything was lovely, but that was before I had to deal with people. |
