Resident Evil 5 wasnt even near as good as RE4

| Tyranius2 Posted 8/13/2009 2:45:53 PM | I own both resident evil 4 and 5 and I gotta say it. After playing the fifth installment I just didn't have the same feel I had with resident evil 4. I went back to getting my RE4 and back playing after finishing my second playthrough on the 5th one. People think that just because 5 is more than 4 (wow, really?), than it must mean the game is better and I'm sick of it. The 4th is better and that's it. If you're one of those who thinks RE5 is better just because it has better graphics and it has a 5 pasted in the case then you can burn in hell!! |

You have basically said that RE5 must be better, if its exactly the same with better graphics. It's not the same thing, they changed a lot of things including inventory, a little bit of the gameplay and things of the such. I still prefer RE4. |

Clearly 5 will be superior in the fields you named, it's on a new system. That being said, Resident Evil 5 is a beautiful game. Graphically it is really out of control. I mean for my money it is the most graphically powerful game to date. Also, i did not enjoy the partner system in RE5, but partners in Mercenary mode is EPIC. Mercenaries mode for RE5 is insanely awesome and addicting. Vastly superior to RE4's if not entirely because there's two of you. Now all things being equal, I enjoyed RE4 more than I did RE5. RE5 is a GREAT GAME (9/10). RE4 is a revolutionary game, and an EXCELLENT GAME (9.5/10) --- Hes the hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now...because hes not our hero, hes a silent guardian, a watchful protector. There are no 'tense' moments. In RE4 for example. When you encounter a regenerator and that background music starts playing, that's creepy and awesome. In RE5 it's just "Oh, a chainsaw bastard, let's shoot him,a fat dude, let's shoot him." But I gotta admit I hate those reapers. All in all, I didn't mean RE5 sucked, on the contrary, it's a great gourgeous game. But the 4th one is better in my opinion, and I get sick of those people who say RE5 is better because it is the "FIFTH ONE WOOOOW AND FIVE IS MORE THAN 4!!!!." So, yea. I hear ya. |

When you see a regenerator, your reaction is still just shoot him, regardless of the background music, your comparison made no sense. RE4 while fun, was much less tense than RE5. RE5 simply had creepier areas and the lack of ammunition throughout the game makes things a lot tougher. RE4 threw ammo at you, if you were running out of ammo in this game, you're doing it wrong. You had enough firepower to make the game a cakewalk. RE4 was FAR more emphasis on just plain action compared to RE5. |

I never ran out of ammo really and this game can be a cakewalk in veteran if you know what you're doing. (haven't tried professional mode yet) |
