| Duthos Posted 9/11/2008 5:02:37 PM | This mod will reduce the frequency of all space event for the purpose of allowing people to enjoy their universe, rather than babysitting their planets. This is my final version of these mods, and I am satisfied they work as promised PROVIDING you follow the instructions. They are simple, but NEED to be followed. To those that have been following this project, I am sorry about the amount of topics created for this, and the monkeying around to get all the information right. Modding spore is still new, and there will likely be other discoveries down the road. However, these particular mods are final and WILL work as desired. Install - Download the file and COPY it into spore/data (the folder with spore_game.package in it). Copying it will make certain it's created date is newer than whatever else is in that directory so it will override the required data. Start a new game and enjoy (any phase is fine). Repair - Whenever you get an update you must reset the mods date by copying it to you spore/data folder again. Un-install - Be aware, this mod saves its tweaks to your system somewhere so deleting the mod will not remove it from any game based on it, nor from your computer itself. To un-install download the un-install file at the bottom of the page and install it the same way as the other mods. After you start a new game and save you can delete the file. Problems - Also if playing in any language other than english the mod may not work. One tester had it running in russian fine, another in dutch did not. Note - As there is at least one badge depending on you stopping eco disasters, you may want to refrain from using the bigger ones, but it is your universe, choose one to fit your playing style/desires.
