I've been doing voice-overs for over 10 years and this was by far my best VO job. I had a blast doing it! |

| mimcg Posted 2/29/2008 3:16:39 PM | I would take an improv class, that really helped me to think quick on my feet, I also did stand-up comedy at open mike nights which takes guts and/or stupidity (I had both!) I signed with a on camera commercial agent which led me to VO work. I then took a VO commercial workshop that was taught by casting directors which gave me time in the booth to practice. There is no one way to do it! Just remember the journey has to be as fun as the destination. An average VO commercial actor books 2-4 jobs out of 100 auditions.....I like auditioning as much as the job most of the time. Anyway...good luck.....and like me....don't quit your day job! |

| amudd Posted 2/29/2008 3:58:08 PM | Michael, I had not even considered buying this until I randomly saw a preview video of it and you did the line, "yeah well I don't wear out in bed." I laughed so hard I was in tears. Following that I pre-ordered it (that was two months in advance.) Seriously, you are a genius in this game. Your lines are priceless, but they are also "real" in a way too (as in, alot of the situations the characters in the game find themselves, instead of the usual "charge in and forget about our safety" you actually go, "um how about we run away?" That's what I would do in most cases anyways) :) So basically I'm saying amazing job, and thanks for making this game even better! I couldn't imagine it without your work! |
