| OneWing_Angel Posted 3/18/2009 4:19:19 PM | This has gone on long enough. Lets actually conduct an experiment. We need to have five groups of decently skilled players. The experiment will involve two groups clearing their game data, the groups playing with their current data, and a control. Now, for what we'll actually do. We'll decide on a CPU Character to conduct these tests on. (I'm thinking Snake, because of how primitive his play is.) Group One - Clears Data. - Unlocks chars through SSE ONLY. - Play against level9 comps ONLY, fighting normally with your characters metagame. - Do not play online with this data. Group Two - Clears Data. - Unlocks chars through SSE ONLY. - Play against level9 comps ONLY, Spamming one-three moves. - Do not play online with this data. Group Three (Control) - Play with current data. - No restrictions, other than catching footage of playing said level9 Comp. Group Four - Plays with current data. - No restriction on online play, except using ONLY the char we choose. - Plays with the chars current metagame. Group Five - Plays with current data. - No restriction on online play, except using ONLY the char we choose. - Plays with extreme spam of one-three moves. --- lolwut OneWing_Angel~I've made enough sigs to last me for a while. |

I will not be able to participate, due to the lack of equipment to record or even display reps. Unless I can get an SD card soon... but the experiment will take time. I'm thinking of weekly intervals, where results are displayed, for about 4-5 weeks. It's short for what we need to prove, but if the results show nothing, there isn't reason to beat the dead horse. As for the actual signups, make sure you can comply to what we need to do. Along with your group requirements, you must be able to display 5-10 reps per week, and be able to get in quite a few games per day. | Nidtendofreak Posted 3/18/2009 4:40:13 PM | I remember seeing a topic before on smashboards where a guy hacked/whatever into the Brawl disk to check out the computer learning thingy. Apparently, he found data that proves that it learns combinations of moves that helped players to win, but not when to use them. I can't find the topic again though. --- If you have the gall to call me an underaged user or a blind fanboy, have the balls to see when my account was made, and see the lack of wisdom from back then. |
