Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway

ok detailed review of my one hour of playing it....the objectives are dumb. youre either attacking or defending. when attacking you essentially try to raise to flags to win. if all the people on your team die, your side loses. you only have 1 life per round. if you die you become a spectator.

i only played 3 maps, and i think thats all there are. the maps were bland and uninteresting. they had no life to them whatsover. only one was marginally decent but it grew tiresome quickly as there were only two pathways, one to the flag normally on the middle left of the map and one toward the flag on the middle right of the map.

there are 4 squads you can play as...well sorta. you have the team leader who can place down markers of where he wants you to go which nobody listens to or follows so he is virtually pointless. then you have a regular squad team, maybe 2 i cant remember but they are just generic squads nothing unique about them. then you have a special squad which can either carry a bazooka, sniper, or heavy machine gun. and last but not least you have a tank squad which i think is only found on the attacking team and of course they get to drive a cumbersome tank that blows up with the throw of one grenade. everyone other than the special squad get to choose from the generic weaponry, either machine gun or rifle...yeah exciting.

basically if you took rainbow six vegas, since the cover system is similar to that and made it absolutely horrible and in a ww2 setting you would have brother in arms hh's multiplayer. the sprint is absolutely atrocious and thus makes the online games pacing horrible. its really difficult to steer while sprinting which makes no sense. the left bumper should be sprint and you should be able to use both analog sticks to direct your character, but instead you can only use one. take the sprint from gears of war and make it even harder to turn...thats bia. the standard run is a walk and is far too slow.

also, nobody is staying in the rooms to continue playing because they normally play a few rounds and realize its really bad and then quit out, so the average amount of players in a game is less than 10. i probably will give the multiplayer another shot but i really dont see myself enjoying it. the single player however is pretty much amazing and before i go let me just note that the multiplayer graphics take a huge slide for the worse, they really are pretty bad and dull. is that detailed enough for you?
