| quadruplesword Posted 11/3/2008 5:52:08 PM | Friend codes isn't a huge worry to me. After a few years, people probably won't even care whether a game uses friend codes or not, because they'll be so used to it. --- Games I'm really excited for: Call of duty: World at War, 007: Quantum of Solace, and The Conduit. |
| wikido Posted 11/3/2008 5:57:36 PM | While Friend codes are annoying I too do not see a big deal with them. If they're not in, fantastic, but if they are well no biggie. |
| Zombilicious Posted 11/3/2008 6:04:33 PM | I'm hoping no friend codes. Nice find TC ^_^ --- Official Owner of the Guitar Hero: World Tour Wii Board Not changing signature until Psychostick's second studio album is released. |
| liberale Posted 11/3/2008 6:28:21 PM | I would rather it not have FCs, but their not a game ruiner for me. I just want them to get it right, like they did for MKWii (IMO). I would at least want the ability to add a person who I faced in a previous game to my friend list. --- Eagerly awaiting: AC:CF and Fable II |
| fortunzfavor Posted 11/3/2008 6:42:27 PM | From the same interview: "And you know, I know that there’s been one notable exception of a game that hasn’t had friend codes. As far as I know, at least from what’s been relayed to us, that exception was a one time thing." http://www.wiihd.net/news:110308-conduit-fcs-again From the entire quote, rather than the truncated one given by g4, it's clear that Eric is talking about making the Friend Code system better, tweaking it, as he has discussed before, rather than not using it. HVS is trying to make FCs less toxic, not trying to get rid of them. Good find though TC--you've been blogged. |
| Teh_5_Starz Posted 11/3/2008 8:33:31 PM | I just want them to get it right, like they did for MKWii (IMO). i do think Mario Kart has the best Wi-Fi on the Wii. No doubt --- Name:5 Star Brawl Code: |
| fortunzfavor Posted 11/4/2008 1:30:52 PM | The MKWii interface fails in comparison to the MoHH2 interface. MoHH2 was a substandard game, but by simply not having to screw around with Friend Codes, and having a sane lobby system, it blew MKWii out of the water. And that's without all kinds of crazy online features. Just the basics. --- wiihd.net -- Core Wii WiiUnite |
| Teh_5_Starz Posted 11/4/2008 1:32:30 PM | It's actually VERY possible. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 did it... --- Name:5 Star Brawl Code: |
| thelastgogeta Posted 11/4/2008 4:58:57 PM | It is very possible. SEGA have online experience from the Dreamcast (which was actually very good). Nintendo are helping with the no-friend-codes/alternatives plan. SEGA have solid Wii Online support so far... Samba with DLC and Sonic Black Knight. Some people actually claim that DLC is impossible without a hard drive... LOL! --- Get, Play The Undersold Triforce: Courage (Z+W), Power (NMH), Wisdom (Okami)!
