| DestinyZero9999 Posted 6/20/2009 4:05:55 PM | I've seen japanese Saber players use this, after comboing in the air they 623A right after Saber lands, like how do you possibly do that? Tried some combos from this site: http://fuc.wikidot.com/saber do I need to input 6239? |
| synix09 Posted 6/21/2009 12:59:12 AM | Try it and find out. --- AKA Kurii Current Games - Fate Unlimited Codes, Crucis Fatal Fake, DotA, Melty Blood: AC, Guilty Gear XX #R, Eternal Fighter Zero, Immaterial and Missing Power |
| DestinyZero9999 Posted 6/21/2009 4:54:52 AM | I think I've tried it like about over a 100 times allready. (yeah, I'm practice grinding like crazy its making my head ache >.<) It seems allmost impossilbe, like there's some kind of one instance where you have to time it, and timing it seems overly impossible. But I decided to try it out, which didn't go well. Ok, here's what I do first with Saber: 5A>5B>5C>2C>623A jumpcancel>j.b>j.c> (here's what I dont' get it O.o) viewing of my videos, I see Saber players use 623A after landing and then they continue with 236A>236A>623A (wtf??? O.o) I think learning these combos makes Saber fun to play, but learning them is allmost impossible. I mean is it even possible to do this in the PS2 version? |
| tbone12133 Posted 6/21/2009 7:44:12 AM | As far as I know, none of the combos were removed in the PS2 port. I think input should be 6239A, because there's landing lag after hitting a j.C. Inputting 6239 should cancel the landing lag, since you can cancel landing lag by jumping. Try buffering the input as you are on your way down, since you have to execute the move as soon as you land. --- You're not Alexander!! |
| tbone12133 Posted 6/21/2009 8:17:03 AM | Yeah, it works on the PS2 version, just tried it. Timing's a bit strict (and you have to input 6239A), you have to pull it off pretty much right when you land. --- You're not Alexander!! |
| DestinyZero9999 Posted 6/21/2009 9:52:27 AM | Does it work if I input it just as Saber is falling down after the j.c? Or do I have to input it exactly when in touchdowm? (Ok, something off-topic here) Since i'm lazy and don't want to wait for someone to post in the PSP board, I wanted to ask if Sabers land chain (yeah i'm calling this the land chain now) works in the PSP version. I tested doing 623A, (the special launch) following up with 2369A>236A and it works!^^ |
| tbone12133 Posted 6/21/2009 2:50:34 PM | Should work if you buffer it as you are falling after the j.C. If you wait till you hit the ground to begin the input, you won't be able to pull it off quick enough. Don't know about FUC Portable, I haven't really looked into it much after finding out that they've simplified the inputs and there's no online mode (I guess you could through ad-hoc party, but I have no ps3 yet). I'd guess the chain would work... probably. --- You're not Alexander!! |
| DestinyZero9999 Posted 6/21/2009 5:19:51 PM | That chain is actually what makes Saber do most of her combos/followups. Its' quite fast paced, well every combo in FUC is fast paced, and strict timing >.< |
| DestinyZero9999 Posted 6/21/2009 5:26:09 PM | I'm just curious, but have you tried doing the chain yourself tbone? Did you do it succesfully? |
| tbone12133 Posted 6/21/2009 8:22:22 PM | Yeah, I successfully landed the 6239A. I did 2C>623A>j.B>j.C>land>6239A> drop combo, but that was just my mistake (I don't play Saber). What I did at the part you're having trouble with is ....>j.C>623>land>69A. If you begin the motion right before you land and you finish right as you land, you'll get it. The frame window is small, probably a couple of frames or so, if you miss it the combo will be invalid. BTW, you can input the motion as 62369A, just input it quickly or you'll get a 236A instead. Yeah, the combos in this game are pretty tough, it takes a lot of practice to pull them off consistently. That's one of the reasons I love the game though, it adds a lot of depth to the battle system imo. It's the reason it's my favorite fighter and am still playing it, but it sucks that there's practically nobody in the US that actually plays the game -_-. I guess it's to be expected, seeing as the game has no US release, and it doesn't have any online play like Melty Blood does. --- You're not Alexander!! |
