"Choplifter = Best. Game. Ever?"

Choplifter is an awesome game, even with its limited controls. You can only fly left, right, up, down, and hover. What makes this game cool is that you can rescue soldiers, while being fired at by Anti Aircraft guns.

Story: **/10 -- There really wasn't a storyline, so I cant really rate this. Although, the thing that made this an good issue is that you can make up your own story. I pretended that I was a Vietnam Huey pilot going behind enemy lines to rescue fallen comrades and POWs. This is what made the game really interesting for me. You can try this too.

Graphics: 5/10 -- The helicopter was a little white helicopters with 2 black windows. It wasn't really that exciting. The soldiers were white stick figures, and they all looked the same. The anti aircraft guns were pretty cool looking, but had almost no detail. The bullets were white steaks in the night sky, which was black.

Game play: 7/10 -- The only controls of the helicopter are left, right, up, down, and hover. Its fairly easy to fly the helicopter, and landing is very easy. Its hard to avoid the gun fire though.

Sound: 7/10 -- From my knowledge, there is only gunfire and helicopter sound effects. There is no music in the game. This is okay, since you can listen to a CD and TV while playing it.

Replay Value: 10/10 -- This game has very good replay value. For me, this game never got old. I only stopped playing it when my Commodore 64 broke *crys*. I wouldn't go as far as to say its addicting, but you'll keep on playing it until your eyes water.

Over all: 9/10 -- This game is a classic, and a must have for a Commodore 64 owner.

Rent or Buy: This is definitely a buy game. You most likely can find it for a cheap price on ebay. I doubt they will have it at EB or at your local gaming store. It might be at Toys 'R Us.

This game is an amazing game, and a must have! This was my favorite game on Commodore 64, and I guarantee it will be yours too. I was hooked to this game for over 4 years. It was a good game to play when there isn't anything better to do. Its also a good game to play when you finish playing a game for a next gen system. Good Luck Playing.
