Pac-Man

Review by tazzyboyishere

"Pac-Man..."

Pac-Man...Who hasn't played Pac-Man? He's everywhere. If you have never played Pac-Man then you probably have never played any game ever. Pac-Man was epic when it was created. Thousands of people deposited their quarters just to watch a yellow circle gobble up white dots. While I prefer Space Invaders, Pac-Man is still good. It was a unique game where you did unique things. If you ate a power-up it gave you a few seconds to ea the annoying ghosts that were chasing you. It wasn't too hard but it wasn't too easy. You couldn't get all the power-ups at the start because then you wouldn't have any left when you needed them. So it took some people a while to master. Pac-Man was also made by Namco, one of the best video game companies ever. This is where they got their start and without it we probably would have never seen masterpieces like Tales of Symphonia, Soul Calibur, and Xenosaga. Not much else to say. It was a solid game but a little boring. However it was Namco's best selling game of all time. While Namco isn't extremely popular in the United States, that's still very impressive. Pac-Man fails to live the test of time though. Many younger gamers probably wouldn't enjoy this. Pac-Man also has an odd name. What's it supposed to mean? Does Pac stand for something? Anyway back on topic, something Pac-Man didn't do for retro gamers was stand alone as the best. It is highly outdone by games like Tetris, Pong, and other classics. While Pac-Man managed to do some good, it was never the very best at it's time. Pac-Man is also outdone by it's sequal, Ms. Pac-Man. Ms. Pac-Man had more levels and better graphics and AI. I see who wears the pants in this family. After a decade and a half, Spin-offs started coming. Pac-Man went from a respectable yellow circle to a craptastic yellow sphere. Pac-Man was starting to suck horribly until one game came around. Pac-Pix. But that's a story for another day. Overall, Pac-Man is fun but not amazing. And just to reach the word limit, I'll post the review again
