Dance Dance Revolution 2nd Mix

Review by Kenshi

"A noteworthy upgrade of the orginal DDR"

Dance Dance Revolution 2nd Mix is the newer version of Dance Dance Revolution, and Boasts new songs and graphics. With nealr 70% of the songs replaced, gamers can learn to remaster new steps all over again to new tunes.

Gameplay: 10
This game has excellent gameplay, stepping on the correct arrow at the correct time, effectively allowing you to dance. A wide variety of songs allow you to dance linke a maniac (also a difficulty setting, in which the name speaks for itsself) or slow dance for an easy workout. Different modes allow different levels of skill to play without dying from exhaustion or being bored to death. the brand new "Step Battle" allows experts to test their skill.

Video/Sound: 10
The graphics have improved, being brighter and improvements and changes around the game. The sound however makes the game excel, with extremely clear sound that ca be heard well in a crowded arcade, the tunes of "Dub-I-Dub" is clear and precise to the note. The thumping bass to the high notes sets a new level for gaming sound.

Control: 10 (varies from player to player)
The control take use of your two feet, stepping on panels. The arcade dancing stage is somewhat better than the PS pad, as the arcade has slightly indented square to help co-oridnate the player, a problem many players of the PS faces due to a flat surface leading to mis-direction and missing the square totally.

Replay vlue: 10
The multitude of song and hidden songs make this game last a long time. With different modes of play also availible, the concept is kept fresh and takes a long time before it can grow old. A great game to the end.
