"Another Great, Classic Game!"

When I go to an arcade whenever, I always look out for this game while I am there. This game is so cool, and to tell you the truth, was really one of my first ever arcade games I have ever played. I don't really know what it is, but something keeps you playing this game all the time. Here is what makes this game so incredibly cool!

GRAPHICS:6

Well they are bad, but it was one of the first ever games period. They are bland and all, but have a little color, and you can make out what is going on at least. I have to say when I play the game I am not bothered at all by the graphics, and I just put the 6 for the sake of the other people who think these graphics really might be good. You will be disappointed if you do think that.

SOUND:7

Nothing really to brag about on the sound either. Even though I couldn't really hear much, and still can't cause the sound system is bad, there really is virtually no music, and the sound effects sound a little dated. When you do fire at the alien guys you can hear the shooter so that is cool and you know when you are firing. I guess you could say the sound system is almost like an awareness system than anything.

GAMEPLAY:8

Simple game to grasp really. You are in charge of a ship at your end, and you are shooting at the aliens at the top. Simple joystick movements move the ship, and a simple pressing of a button fires. It is a real easy gameplay to get used to so don't worry about everything. Just know that the aliens will go faster and you will have to be a fast thinker to be successful.

STORY:8

There really isn't one, but I'm thinking that it is aliens attacking the earth, and you the ship must destroy them to stop the taking over of the earth from extra terrestrials. It's my take of the story, but maybe someone else has a better idea.

CHALLENGE:9

This game starts off about medium and gets real hard! By the last level(if you make it that far)you will be crying for your mommy. Those aliens can get so fast it's not ever worth laughing over. You need to have quick movements because one mess up can ruin everything. This makes frustration factor very high in this game.

REPLAY:10

For some reason, you will want to keep coming back for more in this game. It is always fun to control that ship, and shoot down the little aliens coming down at you trying to blow up your ship. When you lose you will want to pop in another coin to blast the guy who got you last. It must be something in the game because it gets really addictive at times.

PLAY/MISS:PLAY

This is a classic game and you should play it just to know what you have been missing out on if you haven't played it before. If you see the machine sitting there with Galaga on it, you should play it because I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it for sure.

OVERALL:8

This game overall is great, and is considered by some to be one of the greatest classics of all time. It might not be but it deserves to be nominated. Do yourself a favor, and play Galaga at an arcade center near you.
