"Head shot, 1000 points!"

Silent Scope EX or Sogeki in Japanese, is an offshoot of the famous Silent Scope series, which has been out for a long time for the Arcade and the PS2 systems in Japan, America and Europe. Thanks again to Rockwell Mall for spending their time to get this arcade game.

STORY:

Terrorist attacks has been happening around the US mainland. Because of this, the President has ordered the establishment of an anti-terrorist group called VIPER, which is mainly made up of sniper operatives and other operatives are called up mainly on the assault and observer roles to combat the growing terrorist problem. But as the game continues, VIPER command finds out that a group of VIPER double agents has been giving out sensitive information to the terrorist group. It's up to the sniper to capture these double agents before any more terroristic attacks can occur.

CONTROLS:

Like the Silent Scope 1 and 2 games, you still call the shots using the controllable sniper rifle mounted on the arcade machine itself. You peep through the sniper rifle's scope or on the screen, depending on the option of your arcade operator. You can shoot the bad guys anywhere, but shooting them in the head will bring out the blood inside. heh heh heh heh!! It's hard if you play the game using the in-rifle scope, but I suggest that you keep an eye on the screen for the tangos that are automatically targeted and use the in-rifle scope to aim and fire at them. If the game has the in-screen scope, then it's good for the player, whoever you are.

AUDIO/VIDEO:

Similar to the systems of Silent Scope 1 and Silent Scope 2, it feels so coolllll!!!! All you have to admit that Konami has still provided the auto-targeting system provided by the game to help you pinpoint and get rid of those targets before they start to become a real threat to you.

REPLAYABILITY:

There are some stages that you have to pick out for yourself by shooting the picture of the stage itself. So, it's up to you to choose which stage to go into for youself. I think that you have to pick out your own stage 4-5 times, I quite forgot already.

In my opinion, it's one of the best sniper games made by Konami. So, start shelling out those tokens and start saving the world from devastation. Hats off to you guys in Konami for spending time making this excellent game.
