Crisis Zone

Review by ZokeThe2nd

"A great game, and a great way to waste cash."

Ah,if love were tokens, then Crisis Zone would get a huge chunk of my love.As little sense as that made.I must admit,it's really difficult to find anything wrong with most shooting games. This is no exception.Crisis Zone is a great game with a few flaws that keep it from being as insanely popular as Time Crisis II.

ARCADE SHOOTER SCORING SYSTEM

Gameplay (8/10)

Props to CZ on the machine gun.If you've ever played TCII and wanted to keep that machine gun you periodicly pick up,then CZ is the game for you. There's nothing better than filling a terrorist with more holes than the plot of Final Fantasy 8.Hah! *Ahem* Well, as I said, the gun is simply a huge amount of fun to shoot with, though a bit on the heavy side. There's lots of re-loading, so your foot might get tired from pushing the pedal down. However, there is never a lack of baddies for you to blast, and the accuracy is spot on.Unless the gun at your local arcade happens to be broken. Sometimes arcade guns can loose thier accuracy if too many people try to use them sideways. Keep that in mind. There are only four stages to this game, and even though they are fairly large, it's easy to blaze through them with little trouble if you practice enough. The boss battles are simply amazing as well, and loads of fun. I won't spoil them for you. To put it plainly, the game is a bit short and on the fairly easy side. The most you'll probably need is two dollars. Also, CZ lacks a two player feature, which would have been nice. There's nothing more fun that blasting bad guys than doing it with a friend.

Graphics/Story/Sound - (10/10)

Sweet.Simply amazing.CZ gives you the chance to join a group of anti-terrorist agents and work with them to take down the bad guys. You really get the sense your on a team, here. You can block with your riot shield, and you can always see a few members of your team in the background, working with you. Your not just two guys out for justice anymore. You are the LAW and your out to stop injustice and whatnot. The backgrounds, stages and enviroments that you go through are wonderfully done and amazingly detailed. Your gunshots leave holes in everything, and anything you'd want to break, you can. Chunks of rock fly from columns, statues break, TV's shatter, balls and magazines fly off the shelves. It's all done very, very well. The sound is excellent as well. Gunshots and the like are all realistic sounding and can make you feel like your really there.

Number of Stages: 4

Play Length: About 30 min.

Least amount of tokens used: 2

Overall: If your with a friend, then play Time Crisis II, if not then give Crisis Zone a shot (no pun intended).
