Marvel vs. Capcom
Review by Aristov
"Great fighting game, one of the best!"
This game has it all, a great selection of characters, variation of moves, tag teams, tag team combos...just about anything that a true fighting game could offer. The well rounded music, graphics, and game play values make this game one of the best fighters to hit the arcades ever.
Graphics : This game has great graphics. Realistic characters, battle grounds, and it even has spectators in some of the levels. The moves that you can use all have unique styles and looks. All of the characters have their own unique style and fighting capabilities.
Sound : Leave it to Marvel and Capcom to combine and to make the voices and area music perfect for the levels and characters. The voices on the characters are very well done and they all sound pretty much like you would think they would sound if they didn't talk. The music in the levels help to set the mood in which character you are and who you are up against. The characters have their own voices for the different moves they can pull off. So, if you did a move, and you didn't know what it was, more than likely they will say the move. This way, it makes it easier if you found the move to be helpful, you can look up the combination for it, and use it again. Again very well done.
Controls : The controls can be a little tricky when you are first playing the game. The different combos and variations of moves can throw you off. Take your time, and try to learn the basics of the controls first before you plan to do some serious damage with the harder combos and tag team moves.
Game Play : The game play value is also excellent. The game has a very good selection of fighters, with different abilities and moves, and a selection of stages to fight your opponents in. As in all fighting games, there is also the option of 2-player mode. Take on a friend head to head to see who is victorious.
Replay Ability : They didn't leave this feature out when making the game either. There are many characters to choose from, and you can play through the game with all of them and try to master the game with your favorites. If you can't pick a favorite, then you should master them all.
Overall : In closing, I have found this game to be one of my favorite fighters of all. Very well rounded, and a good selection of characters make this game well worth the money. I would recommend it to any fighter game lovers out there.
