Zupapa

Review by l3emani Dragon

"One of the best action/puzzle games I've played."

This game is simply amazing. It has a childish look, but it's really for people who want a challenge and should not be taken lightly just because of it's look.

Story - N/A
There really isn't a story. Basically you run around to different worlds and beat little monsters and such and at the end of a level is a boss you must beat.

Graphics - 8/10
The game is 2D, but nicely done. When you throw the mini-zupapas and it lands on an enemy and you run into it, stars appear and flash happy little colors. The backgrounds are nicely done and matches with its environment well.

Sound - 8/10
The sounds and music are cute and happy. When you die, you hear the Zupapa do a little yelp and fall off the screen. When you throw the mini-zupapa and run into it, it makes a cute sound effect as well. The enemies do little grunts and sounds if you can hear it well. The music is nice as well. It matches each of the different little worlds.

Gameplay - 10/10
This is where the game truly comes to life. There are six original worlds which you can choose to pick, then once you beat those then another set opens up in the back and those are harder than the original six. No matter which level you pick, those are always the easiest. As you progress through the game, it gradually gets harder after every world. To get through the levels, you have four different colored mini-zupapas to help you out. You have to run into them to pick them up, then you throw them at the enemies and run into them. The more mini-zupapa attached to them, the larger the star appears around it and kills the other surrounding enemies. The more you kill, the more prizes they give out, such as cherries, oranges, and a giant zupapa trophy if you manage to kill all of them with one attack. Along the way you can pick up power-ups, such as one to speed you up, another one to make you throw all four mini-zupapa at once and hit enemies harder, another one to double your prize pick-ups, and others to add to your score every time you jump and attack.

Replayablity - 9/10
This game is unbelievably addictive and is a nice alternative to the current puzzle games out. Trying to beat the game on one credit is enough to make me come back, as well as reclaiming the high score to it. To get the high score, it's based on how much you can do in one credit, not how much money you have. This proves challenging to people that play it, such as my friends and I who try to beat each others top score all the time.

My score (Not an average) - 10/10
