Garou: Mark of the Wolves
Review by J.Tan
"Finally SNK decided to make an easy game for everybody that's a fan of SNK"
SNK finally took away the almost impossible to execute moves and "S.Power" moves from the previous Fatal Furies, way to go SNK. Like for instance, to do Terry's Burning knuckle it's just a mere fireball motion of D, DF, F+P instead of D, DB, B, DB, F or what ever his move was in the original Fatal Fury.
Not only that the graphics are very cool, and when you do your power move, you just have to execute a fireball and a hurricane kick motion(Ryu's moves) 2 times, reminiscent of the Street Fighter series. I just hope that there's going to be an arcade port to the U.S and a Dreamcast version after.
And what happened to the fighters of old, like Joe Higashi, Andy Bogard and Ryo Sakazaki. And look at Terry, he's 35 years-old. Because in the Fatal Fury 2: New Battle and Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, he was just only like 21-24 years old. I guess none of that matters, anyways the game is very cool, but in the hidden moves all it just has is the same attack as the S.Power attack. It should have something different, because in most fighting games with a power move, people have more than 2 attacks (and they don't have 2 of the same attacks). But other than that the game is easy to control, unlike previous Fatal Furies (including 1 through Wild Ambition). And I wish that the King of Fighter series could do the samething too!
All in all, this is a game not to be missed if you're a fan of the fighting games.
