Jambo! Safari

"Simply a Great Game!!!"
Introduction
Hi, I first played this game at a small town movie theater's arcade and I loved it.
I played it because it seemed like an unusual, strange sort of game. The game does have a learning
curve, but once you understand its really fun.
Gameplay 9/10
This game is very exciting and action filled for arcade goers. The ability to catch kings and get
frustrated when an animals breaks rope or who be caught is fun. Being able to use a steering wheel,
gas, peddle, and ''rope'' is unusual but in my opinion funny good. There is a training/beginner mode
and an expert mode to choose. Beginner option doesn't allow much opportunity, so I would suggest
just start with using expert mode. If you do choose the beginner, then you should easily beat it
and waste two quarters. In expert you are able to catch about any most common jungle type animal
like cheetahs, elephants, giraffe, and etc.
Characters 6/10
There are four drivers to choose from: one British old fellow, a outdoors men, a lady, and
Jamaican type guy. Each character has no real advantage its just for desire who you want to use.
All four drive safari jeeps and your chosen one rides a long with you. It would be better if they
had special talents or there were more.
Background Music 6/10
In this game its nothing terrific or awesome. Its just the sounds of animals and the car driving
around like you would hear in a jungle or reserve type place. Also, when you throw the net
it makes the cracking of a whip type sound. The possible bad thing is there no real commentary
or ''look out!'' type thing being said.
Graphics 8/10
The visuals of the game are pretty good for an arcade game. All the animals and the scenery seem
to be at the right proportion. Animals and jungle area all the right colors and good detail.
Nothing is to unusual in this sense or sticks out. There no need for improvement here.
Objective
To catch the required number of safari animals/animal before the time runs out. For instance, you
have to catch a prehistoric animal in one round and a cheetah in another.
Additions
You get a score after completing each round and a letter grade. You get a better score for
catching leaders and higher difficulty animals. If you get a high enough score then you can join
the high scores list.
Good:
Fun
Unique
Get to sit down in an arcade chair
Bad:
Learning curve can take some time
Money pocket may have a hole in it...not 25 cents
Not long enough
Finally
Try this game at your local arcade(It can't hurt) it should be there. Eventually, you should
like it. Everyone 8 and up should enjoy it;too bad its only an arcade game.
