"A Fun 1942-esque game"

This game may be getting an unfair rating because I love 1942, but its a nice spinoff. Its just like the 19xx series, you fly a plane and you shoot down other planes, all which let off a ludicrious amount of firepower. There are two types of power ups, one for your blasters, and one that gives you missles that pop out, very cool stuff. I believe there are around 7 stages, so its a decently long game for your arcade experience. So let's get to the nitty gritty:

Graphics: 6
Graphics are decent for its time. The planes move very quickly and there's no choppy graphics. A high point of the graphics department is your blaster, which looks darn cool. Enemies are designed nicely, however the graphics don't compare to 19xx.

Gameplay: 8
I love the gameplay on these games, and its usually the same for all of this type of game. You fly around and you shoot stuff, very basic, very fun. Your bombs destroy everything in sight, and your weapons can get quite crazy. This isn't to say that the enemies weapons don't get crazy either.

Sound, Music: 4
I can't remember any of the themes, which usually means the music isn't that great. The sound is decent, however everytime you get hit or kill someone, you hear this obnoxious dude saying something that is impossible to understand. To the best of my knowledge I think when you die he says ''God dammit! Well I can still fight you.'' Very funny stuff.

Challenge: 5
The game itself is somewhat difficult in the later stages, however the bosses are insanely easy. 3 bombs will kill them, I was deeply disappointed in how the bosses were.
Also, the most common way you died is not because the enemy attacked you with guns, but because they would pop out of the screen so quick that they would collide with you and kill you that way. That gets annoying after awhile.

Replayability: 5
I'll play this game again, I don't know about you. Its fun and you can always try to get the highest score, which is very difficult because everytime you have to continue your score is reset to 0, so good luck.

Overall: 6/10

I'd recommend buy this arcade game, not for more than a couple hundred tho. Its a fun airplane fighter game, and it is two player, so you can have fun with that too. Overall a decent game, not too good not too terrible.
