Dance Dance Revolution USA
Review by Dante1313
"DDR USA...Not the best but not bad"
DDR USA isn't the best machine but it's not the worst. While it doesn't have a huge selection of songs it does have a few that most people will enjoy.
Game play 10/10
Not much to say here. All DDR game play is the roughly the same. You press the arrows that move on the screen right when they hit the outline on the top of the screen. Not to hard, right? Wrong. Catastrophic songs (Hardest songs) usually have you pressing arrows as if you were jogging in place. You need to either have good memorization skills or be able to read arrows fast. Not to mention the stamina and quickness to get through the song and hit the arrows right.
What if you miss arrows? You have a life bar at the top. Every time you miss an arrow some of that bar drops til it's game over. You can refill the bar by getting the right keys.
Songs 6/10
DDR USA has a few good songs but after awhile the songs get a little old. A few of these songs can even be found on other mixes of DDR. A few unique songs but nothing really awesome.
Replay Value 10/10
Depending on how well you like the songs depends on the value, but, DDR has one of the highest replay value. No matter how many times you do a song you can always do it over again to try to get a higher score. What if you beat the song? Then try the song on a harder mode. Beat it on the hardest mode? Try it with Stealth on where the arrows don't even appear on the screen. You'll have to know the whole song. Don't want to try stealth? Do doubles. Doubles is using two pads to play instead of one pad. This is a lot more challenging then playing singles since you have to move back and forth a ton and be quick.\
Overall
If you love DDR, try this. Never played DDR, try this. Hate DDR then why are you reading this review?
Find a few songs you like and give it your best!
