"Original, fun, shooter game."

Galaga is a basic shoot to kill game. With some strategy involved, you can get your name on the high score list. Coming out in a package with Ms. Pac-Man, this game is an excellent way to entertain yourself. All you need is a quarter.

Story : 7/10
There isn't a real story, basically, you are placed (as a fighter ship) in space, with stars flying by you. Just three controls : left, right, and shoot. The enemies come in waves and then shoot at you while coming down on suicide missions. The enemies get harder once you beat levels.

Game play : 10/10
This game has a lot of fun packed into it. There are many different things that you can do in it, like get a double fighter. You can keep putting quarters in to get to a high level, but try to go as far as you can off one quarter.

Graphics : 8/10
For an old arcade game, the graphics are expected to be not-so-hot. Still, at least there is color. It gets away with this low bit because of how fun it is though. The graphics aren't horrible, they're better than most space invader type games.

Music/Sound : 9/10
This game still has those bleeps and bloops in it, but the tune that plays at the beginning and when you play a challenging stage, is excellent. The bleeps and bloops are upgraded too, so they don't sound so bad.

Replay Value : 9/10
You could really keep playing this game over and over again. It's very easy to (when you lose) pop another quarter in and go back into the fun of the game. This game could be played for about an hour tops, then it might get old. (Or too expensive)

Buy or rent
Rent before you buy because the arcade machine may cost a lot, and you don't want to be unsatisfied if you bought it and haven't tried it or played it. All it costs to rent is a quarter. Just go to a mall, arcade, or pizza parlor, and you can push in the quarter and play. (You might need more than one quarter though) =)
