Time Crisis

"A brain-storming game! One of the best arcade game ever!"

Pick up your gun and wait for the animations to load with the title screen “Time Crisis” comes up. It’s yet another shoot-em-up game with normal shooting stuffs.

Graphics – 8
The graphics are intensely good and definitely one of the best I’ve ever seen of all the arcade games. The graphics are not clear and don’t look a bit real, though. The colours are used nicely but looks a bit dark. The only thing that’s bright are the bullets that you and your enemies fire and explosions when something happen (the hall lamp fall on top or bomb explosions).

Music – 8
Sounds are good, espeacially the sound effects with the cool, reloading sounds. No background music, I think, so take the loud sounds of the arcade as your background music.

Gameplay – 9
This game is quite exciting, really! Although it’s like another shooting game! You shoot enemies by using your gun and point out the screen if you want to reload. For beginners, it may seem a little hard but give yourself a little practice and you should be okay in no time.

What’s the game all about? Basically, it’s shooting. The character you choose will always hide behind things so that you can hide from their attacks. Also, you can shoot other things too. You have to be quick in killing them or if there is a chance, you can shoot at lamp to make it fall onto them or other stuffs. Most importantly, you will have to be really quick because there’s time limit (according to its namesake, Time Crisis). Once you clear out enemies, you’ll earn extra time (though some are not much but help a little).

Enemies will shoot you with your bullets so you’ll have to be careful. Certain enemies (espeacially certain bosses) are tough and tricky to fight since they can dodge your bullets and hide in places easily. But, learn their techniques and ways and you can win easily.

Replayability – 7
This is really a fun game but once you finish this game, you may feel that the game is monotonous and can be a bit repetitive. Maybe you’ll just play this game to upgrade and enhance your shooting skills like me.

Overall – 8
It is really a nice and neat arcade game, shooting people is just normal in this game so what’s the big deal? It’s just a normal shoot-em-up game, and if the graphics can be enhanced with more brightness and colour, it will do much good to it. Just play it if you’re just a beginner of a shoot-em-up game or want to practice.
