Marvel vs. Capcom 2

Review by AzN bReAkEr BoI

"Too many..characters...brain...overloading...AHH!!"

The first was an amazing X-Men vs Street Fighter, then the fighters got a little more personal and the battle became more intense as Capcom introduce Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter. Finally an amazing clash happened and Marvel vs Capcom was born…but since Marvel vs Capcom was such a nice and decent game, why not make a sequel? With about…how much was it? 56? 57? About 57 characters? Each holding 2 or 3 hyper combos? And unlike all the previous vs series it can be like SNK's King of Fighters and you can choose 3 to a team? Yes…it would be made official that it will happen...and it did happen and it was one of the top vs series...hell its one of the top fighting games ever...

Gameplay : 8

It's a bit too extreme for me, you know the hyper cancels, and all that…but I can still hit it off. The game consist of 57 characters, each with (like said above) having 1 or 2 supers...and some more known characters have 3...The game has changed a lot since X-Men vs Street Fighter and this is definitely more extreme but still...I give it an 8 because people may use cheap tactics where as the combos never miss or its all he does (ie : Cable doe Hp x 5 cancel to QCP HP all round .. wow how fun ..)

But this IS a vs game and the multiplayer here is really nice…where you can just talk smack and all .. >_>

Sound: 8

This is one thing I didn't like, unlike the other vs series the attack and getting hit noises didn't match with Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter. It sounded a bit...different and the music in the background sounded a bit weird…but it was OK anyway…Especially the jazz one? I liked that one …but the sounds were a bit trippy...

Graphics: 9

Once again, Capcom uses old sprites, but all in all, the old sprites were never bad to start off with...the hyper combs looks nice (I like touch combos a lot…and in this case, Morrigan's Darkness Illusion wins this section) but some look a bit weird…but anyway, the background is nice, the moves are nicely done (Ken's Shoryuken forever) and everything else looks nice too .. if you look closely you can actually see Wolverines bone claws and his metal claws .. looks nice in a way.

Characters: 10

Absolutely the best characters in this game…it includes Ken, Gouki/Akuma, Morrigan, Guile, Charlie, Chun-Li, Dan and a bunch of other from Capcoms side and Gambit, Wolverine (bone and metal claws, which makes 2 different ones), Rouge, Storm, Iceman and Spiderman. This game allows you to choose up to 3 different characters.

Replayability: 10

Remember, 57 characters so try to beat the game with each of them...there isn't an ending for each but if you really want to master this game then you most likely should get used to how to combo and pull off moves from every single character. Then, you become the “master”.

All in all, a great fighting game...
