Review by bullet sword

"Take cover. Reload. Shoot. Add them up to make one of the best arcade shooters out there."

Intro.

Shooting games are my type. When it comes to Time Crisis, everything changes. Arcade shooters evolved.

Game-play: 7/10

You can now take cover and shoot people. Shooting off the screen to reload is history. Just for this series, of course. In order to reload you must take cover. The added thing to this shooter is a large foot pedal. Step on it to make yourself open to fire. Bad thing. Good thing: It is the only way to launch bullets. Don't step on it: You take cover and reload. It makes it too easy. Guess what? You are TIMED! Don't think that you can just stay in cover and take a peek every 20 seconds. After clearing an area of enemies, you move to another spot. While moving to another spot, you are immune to enemy shots. Just that you can't shoot either. Cheesy thing is, the time is still running while you are doing this. Also, when you clear an area, you a get very little amount of extra time. When time is up, GAME OVER. That decreases my game-play level. I don't care if I am timed. The time decreases too fast anyway. Thankfully, there are sequels that have fixed this problem.

Sound: 6/10

I have no idea what the music sounds like. Really. I just came here for the killing! Not that good. You will often hear your enemies shouting orders to each other. Ever heard guns before? They sound just like what you think they sound like. That will be all you will ever hear while playing Time Crisis.

Graphics: 8/10

A little blurry, but the graphics looked pretty good for it's time. If you look closely, you will start to think that everything is made up of little squares crammed together. Not many things are completely round. Still, just play this for the flying bullets.

Control: 10/10

Don't you just love shooting a gun? It feels the same as any other shooting game. The foot pedal is no problem at all. In fact, you won't even feel your feet press on it. It is that simple.

Worth playing?

Yeah. When there is nothing else to shoot, go right ahead. After a while, it gets boring. Try out the other sequels.

Overall: 7/10

Great game. As long as you can shoot people quickly, you can play this. Just point and shoot and press on the pedal. Just fine for any day. Any week. Any month. Any year. Anytime!
