Operation Wolf
Review by NBAlien
"Ready...Aim...Fire!"
Throughout the years, there have been many shooters. Area 51....Lethal Enforcers....Invasion: The Abductors....Locked & Loaded....but now there is a game that started the first-person shooter revolution called "Operation Wolf."
GAME PLAY: You play a soldier, in the military, ready for war, as you shoot everything and anything in sight. The enemy soldiers are bound to get you. What should you do? Have this specially-designed arcade machine gun. The gun will shoot the lights out including a special diamond button to kill them all by grenade. Wipeout! The game has 4 stages, with many more if you make it thus far.
10/10
GRAPHICS: The game tells the story, and it's so compelling to see you get shot in one bit by fading to white. The story images give you what it was really like during the war when you cleared a stage. Also, keep your eye on the life meter, with the scoreboard telling you how many magazines you have left, or how many grenades to throw at. The enemies can be far away at you, but sometimes they can be 3/4 of the way to the screen, or closer to the screen than that.
9/10
SOUNDS: The music has the finest score to picture the story about the war, and it can be incidential when you lost the game. The sound effects also portray the way the war was done by shooting and bombs. The narrator will also tell you what happened after the stage has cleared.
9/10
REPLAY VALUE: For the most job, first-person shooters tell you where the heck you just died at by point alone. Operation Wolf will tell you to start over where you died by putting another quarter in, and shooting the lights out to get revenge. Revenge may be sweet, my friends, but it can be down right dangerous.
8/10
OVERALL PRESENTATION: In Area 51, you shoot aliens, Revolution X told you to shoot the Now Order Nation, Lethal Enforcers told you to shoot the robbers and the theives, even Target: Terror told you to shoot anything with chainsaws and people with ski masks, but Operation Wolf was the one that started it all, and it portays the war if you were there, and the only place to find it in the arcade is to play it...here.
