"Help the penguin raise all of the countries' flags!"

From its discovery, Antarctica has always been a place for exploration. Even today, people want to go through Antarctica, even if it is just for the thrill. So, when a plucky penguin explores Antarctica for the good of all mankind, well, you'd better pay attention!

The object of this game is to ice skate through Antarctica. You have to meet checkpoints in a certain amount of time or you get a game over. Impeding your progress is ice casms and ice puddles. If you fall in an ice casm, you have to jump out, but if you hit an ice puddle, you'll skid out. In either case, you'll reduce your speed to zero, and have to speed up again. There are flags scattered everywhere, and you can collect them for extra points. There's also fish that sometimes fly out of the ice puddles, and if you grab them, you'll get extra points. If you jump over an ice puddle or casm, you'll get points too. However, sometimes a "curious" (as the manual calls it) seal will pop out. This makes jumping over the ice puddle nearly impossible, so you'd better get out of the way! If you're quick enough to make it to the end of a level, you'll reach a country's base and raise its flag. The penguin has its own flag and base though!

The graphics are pretty good for the Colecovision, even though they really don't compare to today. Everything looks pretty good, even though they could have used a bit more color. Can't really say much about the sound. Nothing special I guess...

Overall, if you have a Colecovision, this really isn't a bad choice in a game. However, it does tend to get old quickly, as all of the levels are pretty much the same, and after you beat the game, you just have to go through again. But still, you can't expect much from the old Colecovision. If you have a Colecovision, and you see this game, you might as well pick it up. It'll probably be under a dollar, which really isn't half bad for this game...the control could use a bit of work though...
