On top of the roof of the castle hub stage , (nearby where Pond begins the game) are several items- a tap , a cake , earth , an apple , and a hammer.
collect the items in the following order-

H ammer
E arth
A pple
T apif you successfully collect the items in that order James is granted temporary invincibility and the ability to choose from any of the games levels.

After you have entered the first door of the castle and made your way across the second spike pit there are several items orgainsed in no particular order including a pair of lips , a violin , earth , an ice cream , and a snow man. pick the items up in the following order-

S now manDoing so grants James pond with an infinite quanity of lives.
