Before you start the race, go to the radio mode and tune the CD player to "065.4". Now no matter how the race goes, your score will break the track record.

Instant fastest time win
When the game tells you to start your engine, press Fire instead. When the word "GO" appears, press P to pause your game, and then P again to start again. The race will be over and your car will have the fastest time.
