Sensible World of Soccer

"The most influencial football title of the 90's"
This game is my personal favourite on the Amiga, and I was surprised when there was no page for it on Gamefaqs, so I decided to make this review. Lets just hope a board is finally made for this great game.
Graphics 7: The graphics were good for its time, and do the job well. Each kit is the right colour/pattern and there are different types of pitch, depending on the weather. Overall, very nice.
Sound 8: The intro theme is amazingly good, a proper song. There are crowd chants that are impossible to distinguish the words, but amazingly seem to sound like the team you are playing as. The thud of the ball is recreated very well, and sounds as if its a real football you are kicking!
Gameplay 10: This is where the game truly shines, it is so easy to get into. The passes go straight to the players, and the shooting is simple, but with an original twist: exaggerated curving. You can shoot the ball straight at the keeper, but if you hold left or right, the ball swerves into the corner. Great goals.
The view point is a major factor in making the game extremely playable, a top down birds eye view. An amazing feat seeing as if you try and play ISS this way, it is virtually impossible to win.
Replay Value 10: So many things to do. There are literally hundreds of teams, every league from english to New Zealand (did you know there is a football team called Robin Hoods?), to Ghana! And they all have official names. Create your own team and players.
Plus theres the best career mode ever made in a game, ever! Its like a football management sim added in, but you play the matches yourself! You can manage any of the teams in the world, and if you do well, go on to take their national team to the world cup finals!
Overall 10: This truly is the most influential football game ever. Without it, we wouldn't have ISS and, I guess I have to say it, Fifa. The reason I give it a 9 is personal, I bought it for my Amiga 1200, it said it was compatible on the back of the box, but when I tried it, it always crashed. So I had to get my old Amiga 500 out when I wanted to play.
But still, it would definitely be a 10 had it not been for that fact.
Nah, what a petty error, I'm giving it a 10.
